It really depends what you're wearing. I'll assume a nice dress, in which case B is my choice, simple and elegant.

  They were actually invented for men to help keep them in the horse's saddle, which is why modern cowboy boots have elevated heels. It became a fashion item after that, worn by non-riders as a symbol of high status.
