It's because of Kylie Jenner. The Kardashians/Jenners influence modern beauty standards thanks to instagram and publicity weather people like that or not. Kim Kardashian began the big booty trend and now Kylie has started her own beauty trends.
Sure there was J. Lo before Kim and Angelina before Kylie but their younger years were the early 2000's before instagram and social media became big platforms, they're real celebrities not influencers.
I think natural full lips look nice, but not an exaggerated size just a bit fuller than average.

Kylie Jenner tried to copy Angelina Jolie's natural full lips, by getting lip fillers and then it became a big trend on social media
The thing is Angelina Jolie's lips are totally natural, if you look at her younger pics. She's one of the few white people with full lips
It all started from an article in Cosmo that recommend women practice sucking dick to deliver the perfect blow job. A lot of girls saw the word suck and the first thing that came to mind was vacuum cleaner. So they practiced on their vacuum clean hoses and it went viral… Now there is a bunch of fish face duck faced retards...
I don't care for them, and I don't know any actual guys who like them. Angelina Jolie is an example of a has-been actress and definitely not a modern trendsetter.

I think it is more of Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner. It was a trend back in like 2014.
It depends on the trend. I remember kids would get a cup or plastic bottle and put it over their mouth around their lips and suck… suctioning their lips to make them big. It bursted blood vessels and it wasn’t good to do.That is probably what started it. I don't think it is harmful, it is a good thing. Girls do look better with fuller lips.
The full lips trend is toxic lol it makes them think theyre the sexiest ever when it’s just injections plus it looks like a baboons ass on some bitches
I thought it was Lana del Rey
