Is it embarrassing to go to a party and be barefoot?

Most of people ask to remove shoes in their house. I really agree with them because I don't like to wear shoes inside.
But I'm bothered because I often don't want to wear socks but don't know if it's appropriate in this situation.
In summer, I like wearing sandals but feel obliged to wear socks and shoes if I plan to go in someone's house. Whatever, It's always a pain to put socks when you've already spent the day barefoot.

What would you do?

I should wear socks whatever the season

I can only be barefoot in summer because of the temperature

I can be barefoot all year long reguardless of the temperature

There are girls saying "Do what feels comfortable" but it's not your comfort that matters here. You're in someone else's house... their comfort matters more than yours.

Arabs and the Japanese have already thought of this. They always have indoor slippers available at the front door when you come in so you don't go barefoot all over their house. Whenever I go to my in-laws' homes (I'm married to an Arab), they have clean indoor shoes/slippers for folks to wear at the front porch.

I definitely wouldn't want someone's dirty sandal feet all over my clean floor.

If there is a house you go to wear this happens a lot. Keep a pair of tabi or house slippers in your car. Then carry them up to the door and put them on once you are inside.

Really, if someone has this for a rule at their house. They should go onto Amazon and buy a bunch of the really cheap slippers hotels and spas give out. Then run them through the washer after everyone leaves. That way guests don't have to go around barefoot or risk ruining their socks.

Do whatever you feel comfortable with. I myself have always hated feet/being barefoot so if I went places where for example, I was wearing heels and knew I’d take them off at some point. I purchase those ballet looking socks that are small enough you can roll them up and put in your purse, then simply put the socks on when needed!
That little thing has saved me it’s of times from feeling funny about having no socks.

I am more comfortable barefoot but what is more preoccupating is how host accept it

I haven't worn socks in over a decade so I have often been barefoot in other people's houses and never found it embarrassing at all. Just be confident and do what makes you feel comfortable.

You're in someone else's house. It's not what she feels comfortable that matters. It's the house owner's feelings that matter.

I don't think everybody accept other's barefeet in their house its why I'm preoccupated

Wear socks - it's courteous. But, if you have beautiful feet, you can go barefoot in my house. If not, put your socks on !!

I hate being barefoot, so if that was a requirement to being allowed to attend a party, I just wouldn't go.
