It is up to the person.
I would say that all are good and all are positive and some people may be all of those things... some not always can.
On the scale I would say beautiful, gorgeous, breathtaking, stunning are adjectives that invoke the most extreme levels of beauty and attractiveness.
Hot... this can also apply equally with the others... as in a person can be hot, beautiful and cute. To me... hot is more sexual and also is describing the body.
A person with a beautiful face... but an unattractive body I'd not expect to hear "hot". Maybe... you'd expect "they have such a beautiful face and they WOULD BE SO HOT if they lost body fat and got into shape". So, to me "hot" also invokes the sexual attractiveness of the body in addition to the attractiveness of the face.

A beautiful person can look cute when they just wake up and their hair is messy and they have no make up and one may say "they look so cute in the mornings".
Some woman who is described as cute may then also be described as beautiful and hot when they go out for the evening and wear some make up, style their hair and wear an amazing outfit. So, the words can be used intermittently for all.

I consider "beautiful" women to have sharper facial features... ... and "cute" women to have rounder facial features... A super "cute" woman can actually be more attractive than a "beautiful" woman.

I get called cute, pretty, beautiful, hot, sexy etc. All the time but it mostly depends on what I'm wearing or how I act, like I'll be sexy in a certain outfit or underwear but I'll also be if I'm acting sexually to my partner. The same goes for cute, I can look cute in a certain outfit or how I do my hair but I can also be cute when I'm being playful. Hot can be considered similar to sexy. Pretty and beautiful are more looks based but everything else could be influenced by personality and behavior. I don't think there is a "best one" to be called, it's just nice to hear any or all of them once in awhile, just being acknowledged feels good.

Definitely beautiful. Princesses are beautiful.
Pretty is a good compliment but not as meaningful.
Cute can be sometimes meant in a pitiful way, nice way of saying "you're not that ugly, you have one nice feature" xD

I'd prefer pretty from someone who does not know me well, but I am cute looking at best, so never heard that :D. Hot body I've been told too. It is ok, but I only really appreciate it after being complimented on something else.
And for someone who knows me well I'd like beautiful.. it is not just about looks, but inner beauty as well.

i feel like cute is to describe more of a child-like cuteness. pretty is just attractive, while i feel like beautiful is the most powerful word out of these.

Cute: puppies and kittens are cute. Pretty: flowers are pretty. Pretty is what granny uses to describe your dress when your five. Beautiful: so cliche, used by men of limited vocabulary.
