As is your skin, but you put stuff on it to make it look a certain way. It’s like clothing, or jewelry, or really anything else you put on or do to your body to make it look a certain way.
Mostly because of Christianity, Judaism and islam. They claim fallen angels taught humans about cosmetics. Azazel if I remember correctly. So everytime you wear makeup you're offending God/Yahweh/ Allah/Oscar the grouch.
Seems like a hassle, honestly. Plus make up can start running up that receipt. Also, I want people to be interested in me because they're interested in me, not my wealth.
Their makeup is done to make them look more suitable for the characters they are playing. The purpose of it is NOT to make their faces glow with beauty.
Exactly! Thanks for backing up my point. When make up is used well to highlight the features you want highlighted, it can amplify the features you already have. Even masculine ones, which is demonstrated really well by masculine male actors.
cause were generally less fragile regarding our appearance, and dont have to lie to ourselves and cover every little imperfection in paint to live with ourselves

Makeup is as fake as synthol. Unless you are trying to cover a scar or need it for a movie role, I don’t get why anyone uses makeup.
Probably the same reason people style their hair, they like the way it looks
Your hair is already a part of your body. Makeup isn’t.

Meh not really a good comparison. How you arrange your hair doesn’t really mask anything.
Have you never seen side bangs?
Yeah they don’t really conceal anything, all it takes is a slight breeze to move them aside.

The hebrews wore makeup (henna) and had piercings… the Bible doesn’t mention cosmetics

I guess for similar reasons today's women focus more on simply being thin instead of building muscles.
Are you joking? Why would anybody? Would you want your man to look more feminine than you?
Jason Momoa and Henry Cavill don’t look feminine to you do they?

Then why would you even need makeup other than when making a movie?
The same reason you’d wear nice cloths..
You don’t need to, you do it because you like the way it makes you look
I don't know why men stopped wearing makeup. Honestly I love eyeliner on guys
Makeup is looked at as feminine so men who wear makeup think they are either trying too hard or are afraid of being called a homosexual.
I thought Hollywood actors only rocks make up I don't know I never put make up on maybe cocobutter sometimes lol!
Im glad they dont and the guy above looks good without 😍😝
Good part of it is that pillows won't get a print XD or wash off in the heat of summer 🤮
@Bismarck_96 😂😂
do you really want to see a guy sponging foundation on his face just before he puts on his steel-toed boots and hardhat? come on.
That’s not what I asked. I asked why men stopped wearing make up.
men also used to wear wigs as well with makeup. but we realized we look like fools
Anymore? My man would be gone so fast if came in with foundation on.
Too much effort for virtually no reason. Keep the skin clean and moisturise during dry weather. That should be enough.
1) It is a nightmare of you have a beard.
2) In my opinion, men's beauty standard are not very focused on anything that make up can help with.
I don't hide my face, nor care about any imperfections that makeup hides. It's more of a "cute" girl thing to do too.

1. Not insecure
2. Don't want to support the cosmetic industry
3. Most of that stuff is toxic for your skin
P. S. Women are much more attractive without make-up
The wigs were common ofc not only because of balding
makeup now means uwu girls and boys ewww
but also emo
which no boy really wants to be
Actually wigs were worn as a status symbol and for fashion… not because of balding
I was referring to your statement about why Louis of France first introduced them as fashion
I ain't a rockstar or homosexual, so that counts me out.
I used to when i was a teenager, i don't do anymore.
Evolution... we finally realized we don't need that shyt anymore.
