At what point/when do you throw out your underwear?

I wait till they're all stretched out or have a hole/break. 99% of my underwear have stains whether it's blood or bleach so it would be super wasteful for me to throw them out when they get like that.

Once they start getting rips and tears in them. I spend like $40 to $60 bucks a pair for my underwear. I do not know how expense that is for women's underwear... but for guys you can buy a three pack of cheap underwear of less than $20 bucks. But I have underwear over 10 years old, and the as sooooo comfortable and worth the price. I only replace maybe one of two pairs a year at most. The investment is well worth it.

I went through this with ex-wife. She was cheap ass, and every few months she was buying a new bra because she refused to spend $60 to $100 bucks on a good bra. But once I got her doing that those bra's lasted 5 to 10 years and actually saved her a lot of money in the long run.

Usually when I realise I can’t get any more in the drawer or I’m mixing socks and underwear in another draw.

i sort of have a degradation for them.

new stuff is Work or going out underwear.

then as it’s been used a while, it moves to general wear.

then to hiking, mountain biking

then you can use them for fishing nets.

i do have the odd clear out when just to much stuff.

clear the really old stuff and then move newer to older slots

I buy new underwear at least once a month because I'm lowkey obsessed lol. But because I buy so often, it takes a loooong time for my undies to get worn out. If I feel like they're getting old or a little faded then I just put them in the "time of the month" section of my underwear drawer 🤷🏾‍♀️

When they become practically unwearable due to holes or failing seams or dry elastic.
But for as long as they can physically serve as hideous period underwear, I keep them. I should probably throw a few out, but... I don't want to put any of my nice underwear at risk.

I buy Jockey, underwear and wear it 'forever' as I wash and 'hang' it on a drying rack. Have some holes in some and will eventually throw out and buy more Jockey. I'm one of those guys that takes care of his clothes, but there is a limit to the number of wear holes. LOLOL

When they start looking old lol and I buy new boxes briefs every other week when I buy new white tees for some reason I just buy new draws at the same time I have so much of them still with tags on them I don't know why I do that I can't help it the same with any other clothes I got new pants, shorts and shirts with tags on them brand new my closet is full 😂😂! Oh yeah i go crazy over hats and shoes just saying 🤣🤣

I throw them out after about 4-6 months of use. Some hold up better than others or maybe I just inadvertently wear / wash some more. I also do not wear them in my sleep, just when wearing jeans or shorts. The band around the waste stops fitting as snug & that's the main indicator they're getting tossed.

when it comes to my underwear, which is boxer briefs and undershirts... I do prefer them when they feel newer, so I do renew them often... and then I just throw the ones I will be no longer using because I won't be using them... lol
