How to beat the heat?

So I live in an area that's been almost hitting 100f and the humidity is like almost always 100%. I'm looking for tips on how to stay cooler through all this.

Go out and get yourself a snow cone machine. You can probably find one at Goodwill for a few dollars, or a Walmart for a few more. They usually have two or three dishes you fill with water and freeze, then place in the machine and shred (some are electric, but those are more expensive), usually into a bowl underneath the machine. They're kind of noisy while you work them, but you're literally eating ice, so it cools you down nicely.

There are lots of flavored syrups available, many of which are sugar-free, and since all you're putting in is water, the initial money for the machine and the odd bottle of syrup are all the expenses you'll have; it's a cheap way to keep cool.

I shower three times a day

I have AC everywhere...

wear lightweight and breathable clothing

stay hydrated, drink water often... not beer, not soda, not tea, cold water...

--- do not open windows and doors, that will only bring more humidity and/or get a dehumidifier
get lazy in your patio, if there's plenty of shadow and a more gentle breeze does help

When it's less than 100F wear full leggings and long sleeve tops and try to get used to it. Then when it gets really hot dress in shorts and a short top and it will feel cool!

Well besides central air, wall unit Ac's, or even swamp coolers for lower humidity areas.. Cool water. Keep a spray bottle around and some cold drinks, you'll be just fine.

Outside I wear as little clothing as legally possible and have a cooling towel around my neck. Inside I turn on the air conditioning.
