How would you feel if your girlfriend bought you or a date at least a really high dollar pair of sunglasses?

I was actually planning to buy my boyfriend a really nice pair of shades that he’s been eyeing and it’s almost 500 bucks. I’m hoping that he’ll like it and will actually wear it outside.

Getting something that's thoughtful even if it isn't some exorbitant amount of money.

Yea I doubt I would let a girlfriend buy me something that much. I could not afford anything like that myself. I would feel bad and worry I would break it.

If she already bought it I would really have no choice but I would feel bad for sure. Unless she was maybe a millionaire or something

True you don't but going from £10-20 a plate to dropping 4 figures was too much
They are built to last so breakage wouldn't be a thought
I'd have to accept if she'd bought me something but that feeling would still be there
As for that she was certainly worth 6 figures

Yea I would also just feel bad. Now I don't date women for money obviously I just say I would feel less bad if she made more then 6 figures though I would not ask for something like that either only since money is no object.

Yea it just makes you feel bad. I mean you're obviously appreciative thankful and grateful beyond words can describe. But there are other ways to show love too then just getting something wildly expensive. It just makes you feel bad especially if you could not do it in return.

I would take a back scratch or something that would be nice lol and she does not have to pay money and I can return that favor easily
