Guys: how would you feel if your girlfriend always bought things for you?

I'm just wondering because I buy my boyfriend a lot of things just because I want to and I want to see him happy. But I don't want him to think I'm trying to buy his love or I think he's poor or something crazy like that. I just bought us tickets to his favorite concert and another concert that's like 100 bucks, and he said that he's not used to girls buying him things because he usually buys it.. Give me a little insight? Thanks!

Look at this from the opposite point of view. How would you feel if he was always buying things for you and you're not buying him anything in return? It can definitely get a little bit awkward. I'm not a guy, but I hate it when my boyfriend buys me things. I like that he brings me back little gifts from trips or random things he sees in store windows, but don't buy me things everyday or expensive things, because then I question his motive. It makes me feel uncomfortable and that I have to buy things for him in return. It becomes a chore, tiresome instead of something that should be fun.

It's awesome. I'd totally appreciate it, but I'd start to get uncomfortable if the girl did it ALL the time. Let there be a balance. Let him buy stuff/pay for a date for you every now and then, or else he might start to feel like he "owes" you more than he's able to give. I know I would. Best of luck.

I wouldn't really like the idea, I'd figure I would have to return the gesture every time. And that is troublesome. I don't really need gifts at all.

Unless of course it's the new versions of 360 or ps3. :)
