Do you think women over the age of 40 should still be wearing bikinis?

The question isn't 'should they have the freedom to'? I think that's an obvious 'yes'. What I'm asking is if it's a good idea for women over 40 to wear a bikini. Moreover, please explain why exactly you think they should or shouldn't wear bikinis

I love bikinis however I think that they are more of a function choice then a fashion choice. As almost all woman who wear them usually choose them because their easy and comfortable and usually cute/sexy is the last reason. That being said I know that all woman go through the question of is this exceptable or appropriate. And of course it is then always more of a fashion concern but if we stick with it being a function concern you can get the right answers every time. They only look good on decently shaped bodies. And therefore if someone is in their 70s and is still in shape then who the heck should rightfully tell them that maybe they shouldn’t.

woman over 40 should not wear bikinis because on average that age group have children and a partner and I think those women should not show their body to their children in a bikini because they should not be admiring or judging their mother's body, that is encouraging immoral behaviour by a child who should respect their mother mentally, verbally and physically. a stable partner may not like their woman showing their bodies in bikinis because why do you need unnecessary attention bad/good when you have a partner that should give you positive attention (otherwise leave the partner). Usually, a partner that loves you would not want you to get any type of attention because they want you to prove to them that you only care and love them back by not caring for unnecessary attention,
reserving your body for your partner and yourself shows your respect for your partner and yourself as an established woman.

It is like everything else, if you look good in something then why not enjoy how one looks. I've seen some 40s that were better fit than some 25 years old. I mean the Soccer Moms at the pool are at least 40 and Very Nice... I am all for 40s plus wearing their bikinis...

Those of us over 40 like seeing women our age dressed sexy, including bikinis. I have some 40+ friends that could give an 18 yr a hard on. I don't think there should be a rule against it.

I was at the beach last week, and the younger crowd definitely looks better in bikinis as a general rule. The 12-39 age group belongs in bikinis.

Overall, I'd say most women over 40 shouldn't be wearing a bikini, but some women over 40 look great in a bikini. My SO wears one... and she's my age. Elizabeth Hurley (she's 57) looks fantastic in a bikini.
