Do you wear hats?

Question

What kind of hats? I like baseball hats but I know nothing about baseball... so it's a bit embarrassing if a guy tries to talk to me about the team on my hat.

I’ve historically worn hats a lot, but not lately, but I grew my hair out for hockey during the pandemic, and it’s WICKED thick and curly, so I usually just brush it all up and tie it into a “poof” at the top of my head, and I wear a thick headband that takes up my whole forehead, so the hair is all up top, and it either poofs out or the ringlet curls kind of cascade down, depending on…I haven’t figured that part out yet, lmao. But the point is, you can’t really wear a hat too well with this hair. If I had to dress up, I’d probably brush it all up and wear a Trilby hat over it to give the appearance of having short hair but wearing a hat.

I've never been a hat kind of guy, but I do have a few different kinds for certain occasions - two kinds of flat, Irish caps, one that I bought in Ireland; a black fedora; a wide-brimmed Panama hat with a colorful band; a top hat; a bowler; a wide brimmed, black felt hat with a sparkley woven black and silver band; a tan, canvas hat with a desert camo neckerchief for a band that I wear when hunting; a straw hat with a crushed up brim for gardening; a silly sombrero with dingleballs around the brim; some baseball-style hats with different logos; a black, oilskin, seaman's sou Easter hat for heavy rain.
That's all I can think of. I rarely wear them.

Yes, I wear hats a lot during the summer to protect myself from sun damage and the sun rays, mainly baseball caps (without the logo of course, I don't wanna look funny) but I also like bucket hats (they're quite cute). Panama and straw hats are also elegant, depending on your outfit too

There are hats without logos, and hats with print on them that’s not sports related.
I only wear hats when i have to, like hard hats at work, or when i need to keep rain off my glasses or sun off my head and neck. I don’t find them comfortable or stylish at all.

Only in winter, because I have long hair and I wear it under my hood if it's raining, so my hair isn't all soaking and flying about all over the place, the latter of which drives me insane.

Even then, it's a bobble hat or something with the same kind of style, just without the bobble.

Lol! You should wear a hockey hat then! Or some lower level leafed teams hat. I mean hockey fans are mostly just their for the fights especially if you are in New York… lol! I mean I’m New England and we only talk about fights when talking hockey but I know New York is up there on it too.

A baseball type cap that says I'm the boss, it was Sopranos colours and £5 was a good deal

And a top hat, I bought it during the sell-off of my late antique dealer's shop (I also bought the rest of the gold, most of the silver, a hunting horn and some prints)

Right now with the summer heat I've been wearing a fedora panama... I also have some cheap and cheerful wide brim floppy sun hats... Other than that, I have a couple of trilby hats somewhere.
