Am I doing too much?

So I let my sister borrow something expensive. I usually let her ho my things but I only wore thsi one time so I didn’t think much of it. Fast forward to me packing for school and I ask for the item back. She tells me it’s on the dresser. I go look and all the items on the dresser are pretty much unusable so I assumed it wasn’t mine. I ask her where it is and she says “if it’s not up there then idk”. So I ask for my money back at least. She ignored me. I ask if she knew where it was. She ignores me. So I’m current waiting on a response I know is not coming about my item because I need it now. She said she would pay me back but I need to know when so I can use the money but I don’t think she is. Should I address it once more? I don’t think she really plans on paying me back

If she's that irresponsible and uncaring about other people's property then never let her have anything of yours again. Probably shouldn't have let her borrow it from the beginning because you should've known that she's like that.

You're in the right to expect her to at least pay you back.

Yes it's not fair that you let her borrow it and she ruins it. She needs to pay you back and yes you have the right to keep asking
