Do You Spend More Money on Skincare Products or Makeup?

I think it is more important for me to have clean skin. That's why I would prefer skincare products...

I spend a lot on skincare as compared to makeup. I’ve dealt with acne my whole life, it wasn’t severe (thank goodness!) but it was noticeable. I mostly spent a lot because I was insecure about my skin, and wanted to take care of it better. My skin is much more healthier and doing my skincare routine makes me calm and relaxed.

As for makeup, I don’t care much for it. I have a concealer, color corrector, eyeliner and a lip gloss. I fill in my eyebrows regularly though. I only use the aforementioned products on special occasions or whenever I’m going out (which is rare).

I have been getting into hair care and body care as well. My mum loves body wash, moisturizers and scrubs. My hair has started thinning a lot, so I thought it would be best if I start taking care of it now, lol. Oiling your scalp helps though.

I spend more money on skin care products but I spend more of my money on hair products because black people hair we can have three strands of different types of hair and I would like to say that it has been a journey and it's been I struggled to find good products for your hair and for your skin could make us not really that hard to find once you find your foundation and your skin tone got to know how that works but for skin is kind of like a big organ where you got to take care of it some people sensitive the things and people are sometimes you got to go to ultra with a very expensive play for care products and you have to just find what word for you sometimes you may break out larger amounts than what you did with the last product and sometimes you won't so it's really hard to find skin care products or makeup products.

You've got to have both.

Shitty makeup will mess up your skin and make skincare useless. But shitty skincare will make your skin too rough and irritated to hold makeup.

Thus you've got to strike a balance where you want clean, smooth and non-oily skin which doesn't require too much makeup.

Used to. But nah I prefer less chemicals on my face. Don’t wear makeup only mascara and lipstick… as I get older, I just leave my face along well I have to put retinol to firm it 😂

I spend a lot on both to be honest. Not so much foundation/concealer/setting powder, but I have a load of eye makeup. Skincare I also buy a lot, but not much toner or the mask stuff. I always liked cosmetology but hair, not really bc I don't like my hair! I have frizzy, dry, wavy hair.

And makeup is to make yourself look clean and tidy. For work, hangouts

For makeup can just use foundation , eyebrows pencil and brown eyeshadow for both eyeline a bit shading (basic one)

I don't spend too much on this kind of stuff, I keep it simple and as natural as possible. I agree with you. I find it better to have a healthy skin rather than spending money and time covering up my face, also, I don't like the feeling of having that stuff on my skin, only sunscreen, mascara, lip balm (cacao butter) and in special occasions eyeliner and eyeshadow.

Yes. I spend more money on skin care products than makeup. Eye makeup and foundation I get strictly from the mall, but lipstick and lipgloss I'll get from like Target but I'll get the lip makeup from the mall too

I don't wear make up. But I do have a face wash that I use. I think it costs $7 and lasts like a month 😂😂😂

I find that good sleep and exercise made me look younger than any cream ever could.

Skincare I bearly bother with makeup beside little mascara and little touchs, I like how I look, and I care to want to keep it as it is for as long as I can
