I'm sure some of y'all have noticed but most girls don't wear high heels anymore. Especially younger girls like gen z usually wear sneakers or boots when they dress up but no heels.
How do you feel about this new look of sneakers and not heels? And if your a woman do you still wear heels or no?
Sneakers can look really cute. I'm not crazy about most sandals. I see no reason for women to wear heels all the time, but they do make their legs look amazing in certain outfits. And certain styles are super elegant. They give a woman poise.
I despise the kind in the photo. Those platform soles with spike heals are a fashion abortion. When I see them, I think of street corner hookers.
I had one particular girlfriend who was 5'2". She ALWAYS wore heels unless she was exercising or barefoot in the house. I wondered how she could do it, so one time I asked why she always wore heels and she said she thought her legs looked funny without them. I think she was self conscious about being short because, in reality, her legs were fit and gorgeous.
Interestingly, she had small, perfect feet. Heels hadn't caused problems.
She didn't wear 6" spikes or anything. Her shoes were very tasteful.
One time she wore 3" corky wedgies all day when we walked around San Francisco. They were very cute, but I don't know how she did it. And she didn't even complain.
I think cute 3" to 4" heels are lovely. They don't have to be spikes. But PLEASE, in the name of all that's holy, please ban those platform soles. LOL
We petite short girls learn to wear heels gradually. As long as they are well made shoes and have been wearing it since adult…we have no problem.
I used to run up and down the stairs to the 5th floor with my 3-4 inch stilettos 👠 and all day at work. 😊

You reminded me of a little Mexican girl I knew when I worked in an electronics warehouse in my early 20s. She was short, petite and as cute as a button. Her job was to bring orders to my department throughout the day, so she was always on her feet. She always bright and cheerful and wore pretty dresses and heels. When she came around, it was like sunshine on a cloudy day. It cheered up all the guys, and not in a creepy way.
I've known other girls like that. It's a gift when girls to the things they do to look pretty.
I always thought the heels were a bit uncomfortable for girls on an average. Glad that girls are finally thinking about their comfort more than how the heels make them look.
The comfortable look on the face is the ultimate presentable face I believe.
I have never worn heels. I never will. Outside if them being atrocious for body alignment, they are unsafe. I’m just never going to wear something I can’t be physically functional in at all times bc you never know when you’ll be in a bind or need to help someone else.
I suppose heels will always be in style- like lipstick- but I think fewer people wear them to and in events & situations they used to be standard in. I’ve seen sneakers & boots at work at weddings at performances at speeches at funerals at celebrations at award ceremonies etc etc
in my opinion It’s ironic they can look amazing when you start wearing them over time make ugly posture & weird growths on the legs, yuck 🤢

Sold women's shoes in my early working life is spot on. All the bunions and hammer toe i'e seen caused by toes being forced by gravity into an ever narrowing space... High heels are down right destructive
My mother still had a figure at the age of 72 and rarely wore heels. However, she said that heels give shape to calves and butts, much like standing on ones toes. They wreck big toes. I believe the term is "hallus valgus". Wear what makes you happy. Don't wreck your health on my account,
I would rather meet you in 20 years with a smile on your face standing on all of your toes.
I think they are still in but I'm noticing a decline in women wearing heels. I personally don't wear any heels either cause it hurts my feet and Jack's up my ankle. It kinda sucks cause I do see a lot heels that look incredible cute/sexy , but I just can't take the uncomfortability. I think this is a good thing for women's feet and back in the long run, our feet aren't designed to be in that position at all but parallel to the ground. Heels cause so much foot, knee, and back problems that can be avoided anyway.

I think they are dying out it's just to much headache and it's not healthy a lot of women have had health issues due to high heels.
I usually wear sneakers like all the time and tracksuits unless I am in a professional setting then I will wear something smart but not with heels.
I do like heeled boots I do own a pair or two if I am going out which I don't often haven't at all since pre covid I might wear em but in general it's a no.
I won't break my back to look good plus my height doesn't require it perhaps if i was shorter I would feel the need but I was lucky my height is a decent one so 95% of my shoes are actually flat or sneakers/converses. No need for heels.
I don’t know what’s in style anymore. Things go back and forth between the 80s, 90s. Now some wear big baggie clothes like bags…just at a lost.
I just wear what I like…even though everyone at work wears sweats … I don’t get it.
my old job, most dressed in heels and were professional looking.
my current location, all dress down except for the bosses… so I had to dress just like everyone else.
to think of it…growing up, most people walking around the street didn’t wear heels…only at parties and clubs people dressed up.
I surely hope this trend is dying. Women wearing very low heel or even better - sneakers - are far more attractive to me. High heels send a message (especially in my country) "I'm a gold digging hoe".
Here's a perfect example from "Supergirl" - to the left is Kara Danvers wearing whatever these shoes are called in US English, to the right is some random reporter from "Catco". In a real life situation with similar footwear, guess which girl I'm gonna pay any attention to first. :)
I guess you could say I like the average style of Kara Danvers in real life girls - not too pretentious and not too simple either.
That's why I'm hoping the high heel trend is dying. Finally women will start dressing normally. Not that this would bring back my faith in them - that's never gonna happen.
Today here's a lot of low class women who are too lazy to do anything they find "inconvenient" yet expect men to do tons of inconvenient things that she likes. But no, heels are not "dying out". It's just there's way more lazy women today.

It's similar to how we have women today wearing yoga pants everywhere because they're too lazy to take the time to dress themselves like adults and take the time & effort to consider where they're going and why. But they'll claim it's because they go to the gym 4-5 times per day, 7 days per week or some bs. Life for them is all about themselves and that's pathetic.

I don't ride a horse so I don't need them or the modern equivalent for horse riding. Women used them because it made them look attractive. I know what you're saying. A lot of high school and college age girls are in sneaks, but I think they do a ton of walking on campus.
My daughters still wear heels for certain occasions and I wear them unless the occasion calls for non heels. I think they're still sexy and a lot are not uncomfortable to wear.
I hope it is, honestly. I hate this pressure that we have to wear heels for formal events or to look sexy, or anything like that. It’s hard for me to find them in my size, and plus they’re really bad for the body. They force unnatural weight distribution and posture.
I hope they do die out. They are useless, uncomfortable and make women think they are somehow worth more with ridiculous heels. I want a feminine cute girlfriend or wife that wears comfortable shoes for herself. Not a stuck-up arrogant chick that wears giant heels.

I think people should wear what they want. High heels have never been my thing though. They look really uncomfortable on women. They can’t really run or anything in them and pretty much can’t do anything fun.

I think it is definitely less popular (and/or less frequently worn) but not sure I'd say it's dying out as I still see them at special occasions - like a wedding I went to recently. Lots of 20+ year olds wore them.

Yes and no. I still wear heels but very very rarely and it's normally during really special occasions. Normally I'm wearing like boots and Converse and occasionally Vans
I doubt they will ever totally go out of fashion in my lifetime but I think they have gotten less common bc formal events have gotten less common, high heels are really for formal events. Of course lower heels work for more situations. by the way is it a "trend" if my great grandmother, grandmother, and mother all wore them lol.

Wearing the right pair of heels is just amazing but it’s more and more difficult to find heels that are well made and affordable so yeah it’s the main factor, cause you can’t walk with cheap heels
I think they’re still probably in. I personally have never been that big on them. I find pumps to be sexier on women. I only think black heels are hot, and only if the chick is wearing a skirt with them.
I do if its a formal even I'll wear some or if it's somewhere I need to be fancy but other than that no. It hurts your feet a lot and your muscles tense up. I have to soak my feet sometimes to ease the pain.
I have no idea but i hope so. No freaking way they are comfortable, and 100% not as comfortable as sneakers. Make sneakers high fashion for god's sake. Spoil your feet ladies with amazing beautiful sneakers and relax while looking gorgeous
Never liked high heels on a women cause it makes them look taller than they are. If I was a women, I wouldn't wear them cause it would probably hurt wearing them for hours.
No I wouldn't say it's dying out I just think that women are wearing them when they need to and be more comfortable when they don't need to like for instance I'm from the big city and a lot of women come in to a function wearing there heel then change later
I’ve worn heels myself I had first thought of them being uncomfortable but then it changed my mind I first worn them as a teenager and then as an adult last year and from that experience I realized they weren’t as painful as I thought they would be but what I wore were wedge slip ons for heels and if other girls want to reply to my opinion and share their experience with them feel free but it was last year I put on a dress and heels and it I personally think that if they are proper fitting they won’t hurt at all.
I don't think it's dying. It's certainly changing and that's for the better. I hope it doesn't die -- I do NOT believe that women should be or feel uncomfortable. But, the right heel paired to that woman's leg is sexy. She doesn't have to; this is not a deal breaker... it's just sexy.
I sure hope so. The nature of trends is that they come and go. Pointless to try to keep up with them unless you want to go broke trying to impress strangers.

Hasn't died out completely but I have seen a huge decrease among younger women. Then again, dressing up in general has died out it seems. Most people, especially Gen Z, look like absolute slobs and don't know how to put an outfit together.
High heels are not dying out, they are worn less frequently. Often they are not necessary, suitable or the best choice and are not the only shoe that aesthetically pleases or attracts guys. No reason to wear them very often.
Sneakers and boots are better for the health of the foot, more practical and suitable in everyday life, for many activities and social situations, girls learned to match them well in many outfits
Celebrities and women with money wear them. Broke girls don't. It's pretty much a status symbol for people who can afford a car, afford pedicures, afford foot massage and afford to be hauled around without walking too much.

I am not a huge fashion guy but I would just say people should just wear what they feel comfertable in if you like high heels go for it but you can also still rock a classy look being in flatter shoes.

Nope. It will never die out. I see high heels a fair bit. In some events almost every woman is wearing them. I've even seen really tall women wearing them. Now obvs high heels aren't a casual everyday wear thing which makes sense that you don't see it much out in public places with a casual/relaxed setting or even in parks or outdoor events due to many factors.
I have really no idea other than high heels were never part of my wardrobe.
Sneakers are fashionable but I like Clogs on girls who wear Jeans now that is my turn-on.

I wear heels frequently and find them comfortable, but I wear wide heels and wedges. I can even run in them, but stilletos kill my ankles and I am done after an hour. Thick heels I can wear all day long.

No, they only wear sneakers for casual situations, heels will never go away because American women are still very short (161 cm), especially women in my country (158 cm).
