What's the best Halloween costume for a crossdresser?

I'm thinking about venturing out this year to a party, and I'm curious for suggestions on a good costume. I'd appreciate sincere answers only. TYIA.

I guess it depends on how far you like to go in that direction.

As long as you're within the law, and you're able to deal with the potential reactions of your fellow partygoers, do what you want.

People have been crossdressing for fun for Halloween for a long time, albeit, usually, with very clear intentions as to it being merely a costume and not being a statement of anything more than that. I think the distinction would be easily recognizable by any adult of at least average intelligence.

If you're using the excuse of a party to actually 'come out' in a dramatic way, you may encounter some moments that may be difficult for them, or yourself, to deal with. How you react to their reactions to your attire may engender a nightmare or be potentially great. You never know until you try.

I've never done what you are considering, but if I were to take an imaginary trip down that road, I'd try to first encounter specific types of people who I know, who I think may find it as being at least somewhat indicative of my personality, who are also easygoing, then merge into the party at large, learning moment by moment how to respond to reactions of other partygoers.

There are many degrees and variations of crossdressing. I don't know where your proclivities lie.

I can think of some ways in which I might like to do so at a party, but that's me.
