
Recently in my area, men's shorts that go several inches above the knee or up to around mid-thighish have gotten more and more popular. However, the style has received some backlash. Mostly that people "think it looks gay." Knee-length or longer is still the more common, acceptable style.
However, I personally don't get it. For me it's the "just right" length for shorts. They're called "shorts" for a reason, and it's not because they're long. Knee-length or longer shorts look way worse in my opinion.
And besides, besides being short they're still way longer than typical women's shorts, as you can see in the example photo. His shorts have around a 5 or 7 inch inseam to them, while hers are like 3 inches at best.
