How do you feel about men's shorts that go a good couple of inches above the knee?

Men's shorts around where I live have been quite long and baggy for a long time, almost always knee-length or longer, but in the past recent years I've been seeing a bit more of a change. I've seen a lot more shorts that show the knees, and even some that go way beyond that, to show quite a bit of thigh!

Quite a lot of man thigh, but I dig it. Respect.

A nice slight tan on his lower thighs. I like that.

Even for skinny pale legs, man thigh is a plus.

Personally, I think it's a pretty positive change. I was born in 2001, an era of quite long and baggy shorts, but I never really liked the look. Not on myself, not on anyone else. So I quite welcome thigh exposing shorts. I really hope it's here to stay.

I usually am only attracted to women, but something about man thighs is just... perfection. I don't necessarily want 80's shorts back, but I just love mid-thigh shorts.

The style when I was young was much shorter than that. When I was young those shorts in the pics would have been fairly long. I wish real shorts would come back in style. What's the purpose of wearing shorts if they aren't short? It defeats the purpose.

I know the kind of shorts you're referring to, lol. I wouldn't really want shorts to be that length again, but if it was between that length and below the knee, definitely that length. I mean women's shorts are short as fuck, so why not I guess? Plus, they were "classic" shorts. I prefer mid-thigh, but I can see the appeal.

I would not want to wear them as short as I used to either. But yea, I want something that's not down to the knee. If there is a trend to get shorter, I didn't notice it when I looked at shorts this past summer.

In the 70s I wore shorts with inseams about three inches, maybe even less. Virtually all shorts then were cut-offs also. Buying ready made shorts would have been dorky.

Trends don't always catch on everywhere, but in my area it has, lol. The longer shorts are still available, but you do have shorter options as well.

3 inch inseam huh... I've gone 5 inch inseam, which is pretty close, lol. Plus, when I sit down they ride up, and maybe even become 3 inch inseam anyway. I didn't know that about the cut-offs though. Interesting.

Trends are delayed getting to where I live. Sometimes they don't catch on at all.

When I moved back here from California, some trends were cacthing on here that had already come and completely gone in California.

I completely felt that. I live in Florida, which is a pretty looked down upon state. Some trends never seem to make it here, lol. Regardless though, I'm glad the shorter shorts trend at least made it.

I honestly don't mind shorts that goes pass the ankle, as long they aren't booty shorts I don't see the problem with them. by the way when I stated booty shorts I was being gender neutral I ain't a big fan of seeing both men and women wearing shorts that could easily be replaced with only wearing underwear. Please just cover up ain't nobody wants to see that!

Yes, I guess those places are acceptable to wear booty shorts but in a professional work environment booty shorts are definitely a no in terms of dress code.

All of my shorts are right above the knee cap and that's what I prefer but shorter shorts being more acceptable again means I can wear my older shorts again without feeling self conscious. I'm 20 so I still have some clothes from when I was still growing. I also would love for leggings to become more unisex which I think they are. I don't think I could wear them yet other than when I'm working out. I have running/ cross country skiing leggings that I like.

Right above the knee cap is a decent length. Short but nothing too extreme. I'd say definitely wear your older shorts if you want to though. I mean I often wear 5 inch inseam, around mid-thigh, that rides up a bit when sitting... I definitely get some weird looks, but the bronze thighs and feeling of freedom is just so worth it over everything else, hehe.

And yes, I agree with you on leggings! A lot of things should be unisex, really. I don't see why clothes gotta be so gendered.

Would never leave the house looking like that. Shorts were never a good look for men. And I hear a lot of people complain about weather but I can stay just as cool in hot weather by wearing pants with thin fabrics like linen.

I think the only ones I have that are longer , are 3 pairs of board shorts , I've seen some long ones in Aussie , mainly for basketball , AFL players wear short shorts , much baggier than they used to..

Oh yeah, board shorts are often longer. I usually just wear short swim trunks of like 4 inch inseam instead, lol. And oh yeah, basketball shorts can definitely be huge. If they're baggy but still short that's okay in my opinion.
