Girls, OMG I've been invited to a holiday cocktail party! What should I wear?

Ladies, I need your help! I've been crossdressing (male-to-female) for a few years now. I'm 5'7", 150 lbs. I love getting out dressed (yes, I'm crazy enough to do it), and there's a part of me that feels very normal (too normal?) when dressed. I'm not getting into the whole TG conversation here, but just saying I feel very comfortable expressing this side of me.

Anyway, I've gotten to know this guy, and he knows I dress. He's invited me out to a Christmas cocktail party with a social group he's connected with. They're open and accepting, and so I feel fairly safe going to this party.

Can you help me with thinking through a good outfit? My legs are probably my best feature. My arms aren't big, but something to think about. Here's a pic:

To be clear, I'm not suggesting wearing what I'm wearing in the picture. It's just to give you an idea of what I look like and hopefully will help get your creative juices flowing!

Leopard print is a bit of a cliche. I guess little black dress is too, but it's one I personally like. Though, the black jacket tones it down.

The bag looks fine and goes together and your jewelry is not my style but works for you.

Just be careful. It's a big risk because of human nature. People react strongly to things that disgust them. It baked into our jeans. Add in some kids and an over-reaction, something could unintentionally go off the rails.

I am not saying "don't do it" or that you are doing something wrong. Just don't be flamboyant and attract attention outside of the venue, especially if children and their parents are around.

Thank you! I actually wasn't suggesting wearing what I've got on in that picture - it was more to give an idea of what I look like. I'd love ideas of what to wear to this cocktail party. And to your point, I won't be flamboyant and will try not to attract unnecessary attention.

I love it! So beautiful, and I think it would fit me well. Do you think it's too "summery?" that would be my only concern this time of year. I think the jacket would help that, though.

Personally I love sequin dresses, New Look and Zara have some good ones, what about a sliver one with patent heels as high as you can manage. In the picture you look happy in heels.

Oooh, I would love to try a sequin dress! Let me know if you have some favorites on those sites - I will definitely have a look. And yes, I do love heels. I feel so feminine in them. How high are you thinking? I can wear 4" fine, and I can do higher if they have a small platform.
