I’m still figuring out my skin type though I think I have some sort of idea. My skin is sometimes oily around the nose area and chin area, but what’s confusing me is that sometimes my skin is dry. When I put on my foundation I notice that after some time it looks spotty and not clean. It’s like putting foundation on dry skin, especially my cheeks. Now, I’m confused about what products I should use and my skin type. Any ideas?

It looks like you have a combination skin. And as for the products, you have to do your own research because not everyone's skin is the same. What works for me may not work for you. Do NOT try slugging though, especially around the eye, lip and nose area. Be careful with dermaplaning, ruined my skin... but one of my friends had good results.
Keep your routine short and simple. I'd suggest the 3% niacinamide serum from The Ordinary. Works wonders. Slowly build it up, do not go directly to 10%. I also use the Derma Co Salicylic Acid toner and facewash, but again, start from the lowest percentage and slowly build it up. It's normal for skin to look like skin. Everyone has texture, even I do, and I have one active acne because my periods are nearing. The "flawless" texture that you see on social media is fake, because those influencers use filters. But try moisturizing and using a good primer (that suits your skin type) before you apply foundation... and do not use too much foundation or it will look cakey. Try the serum foundations if you want to go for a sheer look.
I would say on days your comfortable going without it don’t wear make up so your skin can breathe. Also wash you r face with warm water so your pours will open up and you can access the dirt. Also a plant based diet can help keep your skin and blood clear and clean.
i think you should try wash your face and put an aloe vera mask to rehydrate your face, hope this helps!
