Are leather trenchcoats still fashionable? Do you like them?

Yes, the image is purposefully clickbait.

That aside, leather trenchcoats are a main stay of my winter wardrobe, although nowadays I have the impressio they are becoming more a female thing and less fashionable for men, who often look like Gestapo impressions or Matrix buffs.

As I read your likely typo "impressio" my mind finished it as "empressario." That might even fit you.

Your male gastpo and Matrix buff depiction is right on. I literally thought both of those.

I went to Italy when I was in my early-mid twenties (just Venice, and Milan for a hot minute en route), and wow, was I on a mission to find one for myself. But, sadly, I never did. Venice is not the place for it.

Are they warm enough? And what are your winter temps? I'm up north, and we need more. But I am sick to death of seeing one endless 'puffer' coat after another, with that awful quilting, and always in black. The people here are so dull. "Practical" by thy name. You won't catch me in one of those sportswear items. Nay. I'd rather wear leather. But my wool/cashmere long coat has been sufficient, just by the skin of my teeth, the past several winters.

If I saw a man wearing one of these, I would definitely turn my head. They might even get a nod from me.

I have a skinnbekladnad, big leather Swedish military issue trenchcoat, bought for a bargain price and great over my suit or just in general here in the UK (right now it's minus 1 but will be minus 5 tomorrow)
