I have fine hair and I have no idea how to care for it. How do I give it volume without using a lot of product?

I have fine hair. It isn’t overly thin but the shaft is very fine. I find it completely impossible to manage personally. It gets frizzy but if I put smoother in I immediately look like I haven’t washed my hair. It’s porous and dries out really easily though which just makes it look dry and unhealthy if I don’t use a conditioning agent. It won’t hold a curl or a style at all and even if I do put spray in it, it ends up just weighing my hair down and doing nothing to keep the style. My hair usually ends up looking choppy or piecey or frizzy within an hour of making it perfect. The under half of my hair at the base of neck is super curly but the rest of my hair is wavy (apparently this is common with people on the autism spectrum?). It makes styling it feel like a pointless waste of time to be honest. After putting unreal amounts of work and energy into giving it volume it goes flat in less than a day….

I just don’t understand what the point of putting an hour or more’s effort into styling my hair if it’s just going to look like shit within a few hours anyway but people always point at my hair as my biggest flaw as if I’m just choosing to do nothing about it rather than endlessly struggling with it.

I would personally like an easy to do hair style suggestion if possible. Like I said, I’m not interested in spending hours a day on my hairstyle! I just want something easy to maintain that won’t look bad in less than hour…
