Here's the thing: you're not going to find consensus here on GaG or out in the "real" world about what young people should or shouldn't wear. If you're asking as a parent do what you feel is right. Be prepared to be called out by other parents on it -- that's just the way the world works. If you're asking because you're curious, then I'd tell you as a parent there is very little I'd tell my kids not to wear -- clothes aren't a hill that their mom and I are going to die on. But what we do teach is that there are clothes that are appropriate for certain situations and when to know the difference.
