I have seen some people on this website call Jennifer Aniston pretty and others say they never liked her looks.
Because it is not fact like 2+2=4 is. Different people can have different opinions.

Beauty is for the most part subjective - as the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However that being said, there is literature out there that suggests that beauty can be objectively measured.
If you took a large sample of people and asked observers to classify people as beautiful or not beautiful, studies have found actual correlation between various facial characteristics and which category observers put people in. Some of these characteristics include distance between the eyes, shape of the mouth and nose, shape of the head relative to the distance between different facial features, etc.
I think Jennifer Aniston looks pretty damn hot for 53 years of age and most women would love to look that good at 53. Sandra Bullock looks awesome for 58, these women keep themselves in great physical shape with discipline, exercise and healthy eating.
I think that some people's tastes for attractiveness goes way beyond what is widely considered conventional beauty. For example, I would guess that lots of people consider VS models or supermodels to be conventionally beautiful. But my own tastes are such that I prefer what you might call the girl next door look. So I do think there's a big subjective component. Why exactly is that? I'm not sure.
Because everyone views beauty differently. It is affected by the society we live in. For instance, black hair that contrasts with a person's skin is considered the most beautiful in my country instead of blonde hair and tanned skin. People try different hair colours for a change.
It goes back to "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". What is one persons like is another person's dislike. But that means there is someone for everyone, due to our wide range of diverse preferences to beauty. Which I think is pretty cool!
I personally don't understand what's pretty about her. She seems average looking. Her body looks too skinny and her face looks average. Probably 6/10... or 5/10
Because people just have different tastes. But that doesn't mean societal beauty standards don't exist. And another thing that makes it subjective is that the societal standards keep changing through the decades or centuries.
Because we all have preferences, not everyone is the same, we're all different individuals.
Certain parts of beauty are objective. The rest are little preferences like my dimples etc..
Beauty is subjective because we are all individuals not marxist dialectics.
That depends. Subjectively by person but objective over a whole. Considering beauty standards and practices change over time as well.
It's really not. Our base definition of attractiveness is determined by society. I know people like to believe it isn't but it is. But beyond that the rest is decided by personal experience.
Because we all have different tastes in everything including beauty.
It is subjective for sure. Some people have called me very cute, while other have said not attractive at all.
Anything that is open to opinion is subjective.
Beauty can be subjective or objective. Or both. And also neither lol.
