According to a study conducted by Superdrug Online Doctors, ideal female body types were determined based on different countries. Don't you think it's offensive to categorize woman body like that?
+1 yI have seen an excellent, well researched, study on what guys prefer a woman to look like. The ONLY thing that was consistent, worldwide, was a 68-72 hip-to-waist ration. That is, guys preferred a girl who's waist was about 70% the size of her butt. This is because, if you are at the weight your skeletal structure is designed for, then women with this hip-to-waist ratio will be more likely to have healthy babies, and not die in childbirth.
ALL OTHER aspects of a woman's body, varied WILDLY in preference, depending on the culture. AND, especially today, INDIVIDUAL preferences count WAY more than cultural ones. As an example, even though most guys in the US prefer the 68-72 hip-to-waist ratio, there are quite a few guys I have met, that STRONGLY prefer the biggest butt possible, regardless of the hiptowaist ratio... they just want the biggest but they can find.
Some cultures liked big breasts, some liked small. Some liked normal shaped heads, others prefer cone shaped heads. Some liked tall girls, some liked short. It all varies WILDLY!!!

I keep reading about this and sure, as I have that waist to hip ratio guys will look at me. But there's something I have seen guys prefer even more, and that is a very thin girl. Even androgynous type. Have even seen very thin friends (think low end of the normal BMI) ignored in favor of underweight ones.

The reason why men prefer this ratio is prehistoric.
A woman who has this ratio has "curves" or "extra meat". In history this meant that she was more likely to survive food shortage, famine, disease, winter, and childbirth.
Her reproductive value was, as such, ***far higher *** than a woman who was stick or too thin (such indicated poverty, diease, etc.) and likewise higher than a woman who was obese (mind obesity was far less common in history).
Similarly prehistory bigger ass & bigger breasts meant more likely to survive. Unlike men who store extra fat / meat in their abodmen, women store extra fat / meat in their breasts & ass/hips first. So this in prehistory meant, again, that she was far more likely to survive hardships, etc.
I mean prehistory because to be extremely blunt men who preferred these sorts of women obviously reproduced more than men who preferred thin / sickly looking or sickly women. So it's in a way genetic predisposition for men to seek out women like this. - +1 y
@Saville_Row Very doubtful. Your profile says Mexico and women with curves is a very attractive trait to Mexican men. It's highly preferred. The guys you know may be gang banger wannabes and well a stick thin figure is less likely to cheat on them because... they're not actually desirable.

I've said before that good health should be our only beauty standard.
Your own health depends on how you eat and move. Whatever some "expert" claims to be attractive is less important than what's actually healthy.
Very few men fetishize a zeppelin or a skeletor anyway.
Remember that there are social engineering depopulation eugenicists who want to ruin your health, over 9/10 of americans were already metabolically unfit according to previous decade's research. You MUST avoid their advice and propaganda. Illuminati trannies claiming to give birth while their bulge bounces left and right, are lying.

+1 yUnless you look very closely, there is not much difference between all the women's bodies. IMHO, this is a useless exercise... beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, not some random group of doctors who conducted surveys.
More importantly, there is much more to a woman than the shape of her body.
20 Reply 1.7K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. People can whine about what is or isn't offensive all day long; it'll change nothing. The general standards of attraction in different countries have generally been pretty rigid for hundreds of years and aren't going to change because of some oblivious social justice warrior on the internet.

+1 yHonestly it’s not that offensive because they do this to every gender. Here’s an article of the same thing but men’s body type: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/what-the-ideal-mans-body-looks-like-in-19-countries_n_56c5d65de4b08ffac127c485/amp
It’s really just someone else’s opinion. Preferences come in all types and sizes.043 Reply- +1 y
@Keishio that women desire plus sized men while men desire slender or curvy women. I mean that’s fine, but it’s unfair to act like it isn’t a harder standard to live up to as a woman. 🤷♀️ And there’s some of the mens who have six packs but there were some of the womens who were like 90ibs. Overall it was imbalance where the men were overweight and the women had their weight distrubted in healthy amounts but ways that would only really work genetically for the most part. Even when comparing originals, the mens had a lot more body fat then the woman’s. They’re both fatter but the preferences show women are a lot more open and even prefer bigger men. Which again is fine, but it’s silly to pretend that’s not the truth and that women don’t have more to try and live up to is my point.
- +1 y
@tiajoka I’ve been rejected many times because I’m not big or tall enough. It’s literally what women are attracted to tall, dark, and handsome. It’s not so much of a double standard when that’s what women have told us all of our lives to live up to.
- +1 y
@tiajoka that’s what I mean to say, it’s not only on an individual level but a whole gender expectation for the man to be bigger, taller, muscular, etc. that’s been pushed onto us from women since we’ve been born.
- +1 y
Except it’s clear that being muscular isn’t by the desired ones across the world. That’s what I’m saying that’s not actually true but rather a conspiracy. Height is also pushed on women too. I’d be bullied and rejected for being tall and as a kid I’d even drink lots of coffee to try and stop growing because I was viewed as less feminine and less attractive. I’m talking about weight and body types tho and what these stats say
- +1 y
@tiajoka from what I can tell is that both of us are suffering from gender roles that are set by society; If women aren’t skinny and petite then she’s not attractive. If men aren’t big and muscular then he’s not attractive.
Those standards are seen everywhere including Disney movies. All the Disney princesses are small and petite and the prince is this big muscular man. It’s what everyone has been taught to know.
It’s not seen as much of a double standard but gender roles. - +1 y
@tiajoka overall it’s not a double standard when the gender expectations are the same but the preferences are different.
- +1 y
It’s fine, I’m not mad about it it’s just how it is. I just don’t like the lying lol. It’s like saying, “oh periods are hard” “yeah? Ever been kicked in the balls?” Like bro sure that has to suck… but do you get kicked in the balls for a week out of every month for thirty years? They both aren’t great but it also isn’t very rational to directly compare them when yo take into account the realities.
- +1 y
Especially when women have started getting more hormonal issues that cause weight gain, and even naturally women hold weight more. While men have them too but their hormonal disorders lessen muscle which is clear most countries don’t care about a six pack as much as men like to pretend the do 🤷♀️
- +1 y
@tiajoka I agree with what you're saying partly except for men thinking they need to be muscular for women. Most guys are aware a lot women don't like too much muscle but the training isn't for women. I think that pressure for men to be in shape comes from themselves and/or other guys
- +1 y
@Keishio eh I’ve heard a lot of guys say that. If a woman says, “oh these standards are unfair” he’ll say, “no cuz women want me at the gym 20 hours a week!!” Lol nah she’d be happy with like one or two a week tbh and just a generally decent diet. The standard a lot of men have more requires a lot of calorie counting, very intentional eating, and at least five hours a week of workout… and that’s if she’s naturally has larger breasts. a dude could be super skinny or chubby and a woman would find his body type hot most the time. Just not being grossly obese or jacked is the standard.
And I’m not mad at it either. People can like whatever they want. I think everyone should try to be healthy too. It’s just that there’s a clear double standard with preferences in the amount of effort involved and I find it disingenuous to say otherwise when it’s so obvious. - +1 y
@Keishio the Chinese one is. They don’t really, that’s just because so many are slender. There’s Korean pop idols who are 5’7 and weigh 98ibs… viewed as beautiful. That really doesn’t seem malnourished to you? And the fact that you’re saying they aren’t underweight sorta just proves my point about the double standard lol. You see that as reasonable standard.
- +1 y
@Keishio I wasn’t talking about the buff ones. Lol please read everything I say. The extreme for men is six pack… the extreme for women is underweight. You can be healthy with a six pack and not have it negatively affect your health (I’m not talking body builders) it is hard to maintain. But underweight is unhealthy and causes damage.
- +1 y
Five hours a week of workout, calorie counting, intentional eating… a guy who looks like most of the standards for men can work out one or two hours a week and eat pretty much what he like so long as it’s not past when he’s full 🤷♀️ it’s a big difference. Which is fair because women are expected to be more attractive and put more effort in that while men should make more and put work into that. I’m not even knocking what most the standards for women are. They look healthy average weight, even if a bit bustier which can’t be achieved with diet. I’m just pointing out the standard is uneven and men who try and pretend it’s the same are lying. Men should try to be healthier than their standards tho cuz most those men looked overweight borderline obese
- +1 y
@Keishio lol wow you know like two women huh? If it was that easy don’t you think most women would look like the standards? It’s really not. How a woman looks is valued higher yet more women look comprable to the male standard… which lots of males look like easily! Im not saying some people don’t have to do anything. My ex ate what he wanted and never worked out and was super slender with a six pack. Is that the standard I should hold up to all men now? “You don’t have a six pack, but it’s so easy!”
Intentional eating is just not eating sweets or fatty foods, eating salads and lean meats. Just being intentional about what you eat and not eating past 70% full or when you’re bored - +1 y
@tiajoka no, I'm saying with less effort than you think you can achieve more than what is being shown in this video. The women in that video aren't malnourished, they are very average. It's a very attainable physique and apparently average is what the majority of men find most attractive which doesn't seem like a double standard.
Intentional eating just sounds like eating, that's how people should eat. Most people over eat without realising - +1 y
@Keishio the Chinese women are definitely underweight. You’re proving my point to think they’re not.
I’m saying the regular ones are healthy but it does take a decent amount of work to get that. Not unreasonable, but a lot more then what’s expected of men. How is this hard to understand dude 😂😂 I’m a woman. I diet and exercise over five hours a week and I’m still overweight; although everyone always thinks I’m 30ibs less than I am 🤷♀️
Women also hold weight more naturally for children purposes, that’s why there’s more weight in our legs, butt, stomach, hips. But men are the one who are held at the standard of wanting them to be Fatter. We should all try and be healthy, literally just pointing out that the ideal for men is much easier to attain then the ideal for women. Is this rocket science and I’m just a genius? 💀 - +1 y
@tiajoka I just don't agree with you that those women in that video are anything more than average as with most of the guys in the other video.
Also if you exercise 5 hours a week and you're still overweight I'd recommend changing something because whatever you're doing isn't working
668 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. There is nothing wrong or offensive if the intent is to portray what is a healthy size/shape for a woman and to do so on a country basis.
I am not so sure it was though or if Superdrug Online doctors have any genuine competence or authority.
Italy was noticeable skinnier than other European women but genetic makeup is pretty consistent over that continent. So why should an Italian woman be thinner than Spanish women.
So I would have to rate this as unreliable.

i think it's perfectly fine to have an idea of a perfect female body. and if you are offended by that idea, that probably fat and the best thing you can do is use the feeling of butthurt you get to got to the gym and work out.

No I know in my country what I like is not the standard I don't care ain't changing it for anyone overweight if that's what you to call it was more attracted to be here underweight is the standard of beauty
