If I want be modest and dress feminine, do I need to cover every part of my body?

I’m confused, because I’m not 100% sure what modest exactly means and how I should dress as a girl. Is it covering my legs and showing no shoulders, chest, and arms? And should I donate my jeans and shorts if I want to be modest and feminine even if I’m at home?

For example, I have this cute yellow tank top and it doesn’t show any cleavage. (Picture below) Just the top of my chest, shoulders and arms. But I don’t know if it’s okay to wear.

Should I just wear skirts and dresses? and am I supposed to cover my whole body? What do you think? May I please have advice?

Some people don’t like it when their arms/shoulders are exposed, while others like it. All of these are modest, just depends on what you’re ok with.

I usually wear dresses similar to the black one whenever I’m going out for dinner/ parties. The others are just my style. That’s how I usually dress.

Modesty is different, but for me:

Bottoms: Shorts that are kind of above the knee.

Tops: Depends on your chest size, for example if I wore that top I'd definitely be showing too much cleavage due to me being DDs. It's fine if you are at least an A or B cup as there isn't hardly any cleavage and would be fine with the top.

It'd have to be a little bit longer to cover up the belly. As for the sleeves, it'd have to be short sleeves. Not too long though, something like this length.

Modesty is very subjective. One can be modest while being nude.

You do not need to cover your whole body to dress feminine. A light sundress is very feminine, IMHO. Being feminine is how act, not how you dress, IMHO.

The only thing, again IMHO, that makes a lady not look feminine are the ripped jeans ladies wear. To me, they went dumpster diving to get them.

When they say modest, they're saying things like wear your skirts, BUT, wear shorts underneath it. That's what they're saying. I don't get it though, like, if you're going to wear the skirt, why shorts under neath. Men don't wear skirts, we'll wear shorts but we then don't put skirts on over it. That doesn't make sense

Look at the commercials on TV or even most the TV shows. Look at some of the billboards. Watch some of the music videos. Seeing underwear is no longer a big deal.

Modest means that , for the occasion, you don't draw undue attention to yourself. It doesn't have to be about dress at all

In Western culture, traditionally feminine typically means slightly revealing of arms/shoulders, chest, and legs. But you can define it however you want

That tank top looks like it would show your belly, nothing wrong with that but if you want to dress modestly I would wear a shirt underneath so your belly isn't showing then you would be dressing modestly. Looks like a cute top though.
