It's easy if the fabric of the pants or dress they wear is thin, at my university a couple of old professors wear thongs and they can be seen through their clothes, they disgust me.

Most of the time u can’t tell. However if the clothing fabric is shear or thin, yeah u can see the outline

Thongs are harder to tell than fullback with panty lines. With the butt the highest point it’s less obvious. But if the fabric is tight/thin enough you can still still get v. t. l or even if it’s see though.
