I'm a natural dark blonde and I have been getting blonde highlights every few months or so (during covid I stopped for a year and a half), ever since I was 16. It's damaging. But I do it anyway.

In a next life (not that I believe in that, but just saying if it did happen) I'd want to be a brunette (female or male.)

I hate heat, so can't get naturally bleached by walking at night in the rain.
Had a boyfriend who was an Olympic athlete (kayaker) and he had natural highlights. It was quite magical.

When I was a teenager, there was "Sun-In", which was essentially low-volume bleach. But people used to reach the same effect by squeezing lemon on their hair.

@AmandaYVR I remember Sun IN. My ex girlfriend used to use it. She would spray it on during the summer and the next thing you know she was a blonde. I did not know that kayaking was an olympic sport. I went to grad school with a guy that was on the Canadian olympic handball team. I never knew handball was an Olympic sport either.

Natural and one of my flex is that I'm never going to dye it, no way I'll damage my hair with bleach. I can never know how people bleach their hair. I love my dark brown colour, suits me quite well.

My hair refuse to be blonde, I could never get lighter than brown (I have black hair naturally so to dye it blonde it take a lot of effort (and I never reached the point of getting it blonde) also my father didn't want me to bleach my hair so I stopped and kept it natural

Yup, all natural long brown thick wavy curly hair. Never been dyed nor straighten or curled. Just been brushed, washed, trimmed and conditioned.
