I really don't think that's there's any kind of definitive measure, that can proof that, and just because some people say it, doesn't mean everyone agrees, obviously.

I go by the only measure that matters, public perception.

You can tell if others find you attractive based on how they respond to looking at you; if they congregate around you, touch their hair, or aim their bodies at you whilst looking in your eyes, you're likely attractive to them.

If they avoid you, avoid eye contact, turn away from you or cross their arms they possibly find you unappealing.

Personally, I have gone from the latter to the former by dressing better and drinking more water to remove dark eye circles. Because of loneliness, I thought "I must be ugly", and looked into getting cosmetic dental and skin treatments to make myself "less imperfect", but then people started showing interest in me on the train and in the street so I no longer gelt that way about my looks.

I know it's opinion, but that is crazy how you feel public perception is what matters, over what you feel like, when you look in the mirror.

I always disliked my appearance because I assumed I looked ugly in the eyes of others; since this has since been proven to be false due to hot women taking interest in me, I go by this new metric.

Exactly. If you constantly have people telling you how good you look and backing that up by flirting and asking you out and doing you favors, you are good looking.
If you have people tell you you're good looking but they don't back that up or you can just tell when someone says "oh but you're so handsome" but they are just being nice.
It's pretty easy to tell how attractive you are by how other people treat you.

I really don't care if I'm good looking or not I like myself I have a good heart I'm a good person and I care about that more than anything. And does it really even matter you are who you are you look like what you look like if you take care of yourself if you stay healthy that's all that counts people

I know a lot of beautiful girls but a few of them absolutely gorgeous but the moment they open their mouth you just shake your head WTF.

i only care what i think and i think i'm cute and the only other opinion that matters is my partners and he thinks i'm pretty darn cute so i don't put too much thought into it or lose sleep over it. i don't really need to impress anyone. i do things that make me feel better about myself and won't break my back or be uncomfortable for others. of course i have bad days and low self esteem days, who doesn't?

No. I know a man that is very very very attractive. He literally turns women’s heads everywhere he goes. He also has amazing music talents and such, but he associates himself with men that are losers and doesn’t put his music out there that CAN make him famous because he outwardly doesn’t see himself as attractive as how women sees him. @Extraterrestrial1999 attractive men get compliments, though probably not as many as an equivalent woman. Also get encouragement and women approaching you, and flirting, free stuff or just good treatment from service/goods personnel. Even other men treat you better.

I was born with a deformed ear.



My parents wanted to make sure it did not affect me in any way. I had cosmetics surgery to give me something that looked a little like a real ear.


Both my mom and dad built up my self-confidence by telling me I was good looking and smart. They tempered that by also teaching me humility.


They also made sure I knew I was loved unconditionally (everyone should get this from their parents, it key to growing up happy).



It worked.


I always thought I was good-looking & intelligent. That is all because my parent's gave love and guidance.

I fully don't believe that I'm attractive. People have told me I am but I think I look hideous honestly. I just think they are being nice when they say something.

I do think there are people out there who for sure feel they are gorgeous and flaunt it for everyone.

I guess it depends on what your definition of 'good looking' is - if you have any doubt, I guess it's easy to say you don't fall into the good looking category, right?

But 'attractive' is a very subjective concept to be honest.

I think most people know when they are considered good looking. Of course it is true that not everyone has the same tastes. But the difference is that some people are considered good looking by a lot of other people whereas others are considered not good looking by a lot of other people.

You don't have to be considered good looking by 100% of people to know that many or most people find you good looking. So people know when they are considered good looking.

"good looking" is subjective. Just because you think you're attractive doesn't mean, everyone else will also think you're attractive. I've had plenty of people say I am attractive but I think I'm ugly.
