How to have a clear smooth face without pimples and acnes?

Really really messes up your face and self confidence
I can't even lift my face up in public when there are pimples
Even when a pimple goes odd, the mark remains for quite long!
I see a lot of people both guys and girls with a really smooth clear face (in your profile Pic)
Can you suggest some methods for us?
(Started drinking a gallon of water a day)

I have acne scars on my cheeks from picking the zits from middle and high school (gross I know). I was pretty damn bad and was crying so much, being bullied didn't help either.

Been out since 2010, became not so stressed so my face became way less oily to fuel the acne.

Water does help especially if you drink it everyday, and cut out sodas due to the sugars in them. I actually just wash my face with water, and don't use any acne medicine or wash.

I guess I was just lucky as I rarely ever break out with pimples even as a teen. I make it a habit of not touching my face often with my bare hands and I use a neutrogena face wash only. I dont wear makeup either.

Wash your face so you won’t be oily, don’t eat a lot of fried foods, cut down on sugar intake.
