Why am I so ugly on photos and ok in the mirror?

I look like 2 different people.. this is what I look like in photos:

And in the mirror I at least look human but still eh..😭 why is this? Is God playing a prank on me? I'm not photogentic at all.. or whatever they say.. like 2 completely different people.. its like my eyes get small and my nose swollen up in photos..

Maybe its because I am better at controlling my face expression in the mirror? Maybe I should work on that so people dont throw up from seeing me in photos.. poor humans😭🤣

It's about perception. In photos, you're able to look at yourself from the outside looking at you as if it's not you.

Record your own voice saying some bullshit. Then listen to it. It is almost too hard to not be critical as hell of ourselves because we start to notice the flaws. I personally think that is a good thing, because a problem isn't going to get fixed unless we recognize there is a problem.

I would suggest you find the root cause of the flaws you're seeing. You too fat? You have zits and shit because you eat/drink too many simple carbs? Does your style look stupid and retarded at the same time? Pay attention to what makes you cringe when you look at yourself from the outside. Identify what it is specifically and then work on that. Rectify it.

A few days ago I met an officer that was so handsome and I looked up his name and found his account and he looked unattractive in his picture. He looked way better in person. Which is better anyway because that's what you really look like.

I saw some post from a photographer talking about this. It’s because often times in photos we see our face in reverse so it looks weird to us, but that’s how other people see our face normally so it’s not weird to them.

We have spent our lives seeing our faces in the mirror, and we have become used to seeing our face that way. In a picture, it reverses.
