You are now just seeing the difference between biological attraction and aesthetic beauty. Biological attraction is based off pheromones, which photos don't have. It makes you physically desirable and is based of your biological compatibility. Aesthetic beauty is more mental and based off perception, it's what makes a painting, sculpture, or picture pretty. It matters more that you find people you are compatible with, than have people evaluate your photos. If you have mutual attraction and a relationship is possible, go for it. You lose the biological online, so in person will always be better.
