If I like the guy and he's got a cute face that I also like, then hairstyle doesn't really matter much.
I like Jason Momoa's longish hair, at the same time I have a thing for spiky short hairstyles. Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester has always had a great haircut.

My crush sports slightly shaved sides with more hair on top. I'm not sure how it's called properly. It suits him though I do prefer him all unruly after training, that's sexy.

I think different styles work on different guys but I don't expect guys to look like fashion models. A simple and short cut all over the head looks perfectly good to me.
