As in you are giving some type of information to others relating to your personality in a way it doesn't say the whole truth but it just gives others some kind of impression of who you are.

HEAVILY agree. Even if it's just "I wear normal clothes" that says something about u. Someone who wears normal clothes probably wouldn't want to wear alt clothes because it would give the wrong impression. I know when I was in my goth phase, even on days I couldn't be assed to do a whole getup, I at least grabbed a black shirt/shoes and some peice of jewelry. I wanted people to know it was on purpose, and that I liked the look.

My husband now dresses super basic, but that's actually intentional too. He wants to look like a "normal boring guy." He's got a box of clothes that are fun and fancy and all that shit, but those he only wears for special occasions now. I still have some of my old styles in the closet, but I do tone down more and try to wear some matching color when we go out together bc I want us to look like a couple.

I agree. You can't choose if your tall, short, black, white, hot or ugly etc but you can choose how you dress and all too often that's a direct reflection of the person you are inside.

I disagree. I wear a t shirt with my company name on it during the day. When I get off I'm in a t-shirt and jeans. When I'm going out I get dressed up. When I'm home I don't wear anything. What could that possibly say about me.

That says ‘i don’t care much with regards to what you wear’ at the most fundamental level in my opinion. Which is fine. I don’t put much thought into my outfits either

Not at all. I literally just put on clothes and go about my day. Not trying to communicate anything to anyone. Only thing I sometimes do is dress for the weather
