Both really.
i like to buy specific shoes - Churches, as they look good and are very much a perfect fit.
Same with Suit and accessories, they are chosen to provide that first impression impact of impressing or confidence. However I pay extra for one that actually fits correctly and not just off the peg.
spending a day in an I’ll fitting suit is terrible and also does not usually look good.
rest of time I just doss around being casual in shorts and a t shirt lol.
however things like BDSM events, it was always style, image and comfort.

Dress to impress. I'm a teacher, but I dress business professional (everything but a blazer/suit jacket) and wear lifts, so I'm not *as* short as I really am. In the lifts, I am six feet tall. I imagine this must be what it's like for women to wear high heels all day, everyday, because I can barely walk in them, even though they're only a 3 cm boost.
I like to dress up, but it's not to impress anyone. I like floofy skirts and dresses, because I can twirl in them. It's fun. And I like pretty colors. I also sometimes like to dress goofy when I'm stressed, because it's hard to take yourself too seriously when you look down at your feet and see two panda bears looking back up at you.
Both, I "dress to impress" when it comes to work, I like to be look smart rather than lazy. However, I "dress for comfort" the rest of the time, I practically lived in onesies during lockdown when I was working from home and still now if I can't be bothered working from the office.

Why are they the only options? If you know how to dress properly, you can dress to impress and be comfortable. Most of my clothes are tailored for my size so I can be fashionable and comfortable at the same time.
Our appearance is too easily falsified. Can you build a house just because you’ve dressed like a carpenter? No. Can a carpenter in a $2000 suit? Yes. Can you make millions on markets just because you dress like a stockbroker? No. Can a day trader in his pajamas? Yes.
Clothes most definitely do not make the man. It’s what we DO that determines who and what we are.Depends on the situation. If I am going to work, especially if there is a meeting then I will always dress to impress. If I am at home then it's pyjamas here I come !!

Dress to impress is the way that's the best.
C'mon, gimme some! Comfort 363 days of the year. I literally dressup twice a year. I've been that way all my life. I only dressed up monthly when in college
Mostly for comfort... However for special events/occasions I do ramp it up a bit! 😉
TBH, I could give a sh*t what people think of my clothes. Comfort first, looks second... I try to not to look like a slob though.
Sometimes to impress and sometimes comfort. It depends on the situation really.
Dress to comfort of course. That's why people say my dressing sense sucks like my face. Lol.
I'm always I'm shorts and bra but I'm the only one around for miles
Comfort but trying to balance because I'm too far on that end.
i enjoy dressing up for my own sake. i love clothes and alt fashion and i sacrifice my own comfort more often than not to wear a piece that i find really pretty
Dress for comfort mostly, but sometimes dress to impress.
I dress for comfort. I don't really like attention.
comfort. I really dont care if I impress anyone these days.
I do both. I only wear something that is really comfortable but also stylish.
Comfort mainly - I wear the same black uniforms and boots every day.
I dress to impress... myself. Like I'd ever care if someone doesn't like it. If they don't that's their problem. If they do, well cool!
Both at different times
I dress to impress myself 🤗
