Why do we look so much younger without makeup on?

I didn’t put the make up on today, I was in a rush… God, I took a photo and I look much younger than I did with the make up on.

Really? I feel like it's usually the opposite. I'll see women without makeup and it looks like they put on 10 years.

Yes, I look more youthful now. Eyeliner makes my looks bitchy, my eyes look much more youthful now too and my face and skin is very smooth, so make up doesn’t really make it any smoother, to the contrary it ages me more.
