Why do girls look so pretty and beautiful when they are wearing makeup but then look so ugly and bland without it?
like without it, they don't look pretty enough to have as your girlfriend. the only thing they're good for is having sex with when they're wearing makeup and looking their best. without the makeup, they look so bad i might as well be looking at myself in the mirror

I don't know, maybe some women feel obliged to have to look good for people. The natural face is how women should look anyway but because you see so many women with a lot of make up on, your perception on what beauty is, is altered so a normal face looks 'ugly' and 'bland'.

Well the girl you used in the picture has a noticeable difference in her face after putting on what I consider "too much" makeup. The real purpose of make up is to *enhance* a woman's natural beauty. This is where a lot of girls go overboard and apply too much and cause you and many other men to feel like they have 'trust issues". Clothing can make a person look good, the words they use, tone of voice, smell, etc. People can alter lots of things to make themselves look better. Is one more misleading than another?

What makes a person real? Does wearing makeup turn the person into someone else? Does photoshop alter what someone represents? I'm sure there's lot of pictures of people un photoshopped or with no make up; just because people don't spread them around doesn't mean they are lying with the ones that do get spread around. The fault could go to the one who fails to do research. Perhaps research should to be taught more productively, not controlling what is spread.

Looking good is subjective anyways. I'm sure beauty looked much different 200 years ago, and will look much different 200 years from now. What makes a certain beauty better or worse.
