Do women look "average" without make-up?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In this sense there are two kinda women- the first woman you meet is wearing makeup (normally way too much) things go well and you wake up next to someone else, her face drastically changed, her imperfections highlighted to the extreme now you have an comparisons and you bare the knowledge that she is insecure about it.
Woman number two - she is wearing very little to no makeup. It's striking and appealing that she is confident in her own skin, the fact she values her natural beauty gives her more value (not by her words but in her actions) confidence is attractive and impossible to manufacture. Plus you've had time to appreciate her, not the mask she is wearing giving her false confidence that will be gone by the morning. Her imperfections grown on you and even become an admirable aspect of who she is.

I think it depends. Some girls have super ugly natural skin and they hide it will makeup. Some people even change there skin tone. The more you change your attributes with make up, the more dependent on it you will feel. I do have some opinions on what girls look better with and without make up but who cares. Whether you are more ugly or just the same without it, I'd personally whether women not wear makeup. The more dolled up a girl is the more a turn off it is to me. They tend to be really into themselves too. If you need makeup for men to look at you than fix the root dont use a bandaid.

sometimes... my husband told me he prefers me w/o makeup or very little.

it depends on your skin tone, hair color, eye color, eyebrow thickness, etc.

if you have blotchy skin due to acne, make up kind hide it some.

If you have a black eye, make up will hide it most the time... the cure for that is really just to leave the guy that hits you.

I just feel that if more women opted to wear less make-up to allow their natural beauty to shine more, more. and more women would feel more comfortable in their own bodies.

I hate spending time on make-up, I use just enough to highlight certain aspects of my face... You still see my real face.

Depends how you define average. Take away a girls makeup, you still have a face.. a face with no makeup. Biologically, men are more attracted to females without any makeup. Take away clothes on a body and you have a naked body. Depending on how you view “average”, everyone is naked underneath their clothes. Average = normal.

I think it depends on the woman. Makeup can only do so much so I feel like you’re very beautiful with it you will still be beautiful without it on. Similarly if you look average with makeup you’ll still look average without it, but your flaws might be more apparent.

In my opinion, some women look more average without makeup because they wear makeup a lot of makeup all the time. Then when you see them without several layers of makeup you are shocked because they all of the sudden look “tired” “sick” or “not okay.” For those that don’t wear much makeup, seeing them without the little that they do isn’t very shocking.

Very few women and probably very few men have looks that would not benefit by judicious make up. It's built in & Darwinian. The concept of lipstick is ancient and originally was used as a mating device with redder lips reminding the male of species of the pinkness of labia and therefore attract them as a mate (True)

They look amazing without makeup, I don't really like makeup, especially the natural look. If you are going to use makeup at least be artistic about it, don't make it "natural" that just means you are hiding insecurities... But even for that natural look, it's fine, I just wish most girls would scale back on the amount of foundation they use... It's an automatic turn off for me :S

If you are comparing them against women wearing makeup, then yes... generally. The thing you have to remember about makeup is that you still need a good starting point for best results. So if you are smoking hot when you wear makeup, but choose to go out plain-faced; you will look closer in appearance to the less attractive women who are wearing makeup. They had to work to look as good as you do when you wake up though, which is a pretty big caveat.

I would honestly say most look below average without makeup. I think naturally beautiful girls that are less pretty with no makeup, can still be attractive without makeup. Most women look average with makeup on because they go from below average to average with makeup. There are hot girls that can look hideous without the caked on makeup though.

It all depends on the person. A woman can look ugly to one person, cute to another person and gorgeous to another. My girlfriend only wears makeup on special occasions so more so than not I see her without makeup on and to me she is pulchritudinous, sexyvand marvelous looking.

By definition most women look average. That's literally what average means.

I personally find, that the women i'm attracted too look as good without makeup as they do with it. But obviously if you think the Kardashians are hot, your experience will be very different.

Yes, most use makeup to meet some sort of ever-changing arbitrary standard of modern beauty. The funny thing is that if all women stopped using makeup then the new beauty norm would be a natural look. Makeup is really is just a marketing campaign designed to separate you from your money.

If you do make-up correctly you look worse without any on because it’s supposed to make you look prettier. Average looking girls can make themselves look above average with makeup. Above average looking girls are still above average looking without makeup.

I don't see the issue with a little makeup, the issue is when you start layering it on... changing facial features and wearing makeup all the time, you forget who you really are, and then you become ugly without it.

The percentage of men whom women find physically attractive is about the same as the percentage of women who look attractive without makeup.

But average women don't look average without makeup because makeup itself has pushed the average upward.

I don't think you can make the generalization that all women look average without makeup. But most look less attractive without some makeup. The exception are the many women today who use WAY too much makeup and and up looking worse that without any at all.

I think some look average and below average without makeup. You only need to look at makeup tutorials on YouTube to judge for yourself. I'd go as far as saying makeup is a beauty scam.
