Ever drive the 30 miles + to your workplace and realize you did not bring shoes. What did you do?

Like many, I dont wear shoes in the house, and NEVER drive the Tesla with a hard heel shoe on. as, over time the heal digs into the soft carpet and forever indents it. (No, I'm not a frickin' neat freak) I drove to San Clemente one morning, 35 miles, and realized I had no shoes! How stupid was that? I got out my cell, and called a lady friend inside and asked her to PLEASE go to my locker and get my running shoes from the locker and bring them to me. Saved my butt, from driving home again.

Now days, I keep three different kinds of shoes in the car for just such an incident and STILL drive without shoes on. Alas... I still drag debris into the care ! Damn, can't win!

I got called in late at night once. Had on penguin pajama bottoms and an old race t-shirt I threw on because they were the first things I could find. Figured I'd do that one thing then go back home and sleep or something. Stuff dragged on, next thing I know it's lunch time and I'm still wearing that. DAD (deputy assistant director) and the new AD walk by. AD is like "Cool... casual... Wednesday, [my name]. We're having a meet and greet at 1500 next door" Said "Think I'm going to be drunk long before then, Sir... just about to go home"

yesterday... I walked 30 full steps outside the gates of my place in slippers shoes... those things are way too comfy

Prior to being self-employed, I would often leave my work boots at my employer, and wear sandals, or tennis shoes when driving in, or my cycling cleats when I rode to work. There were definitely times where I took my work boots home on a weekend to clean them up or oil them. That being said, the work boots would often be forgotten on Monday morning, and I would have to return home to get them.

You should have just stopped at Walmart and bought some new shoes instead of asking someone else to do it for you.

Well of course you have to buy them. No one is going to give you them for free. I mean whose fault is it you don't wear shoes in your car? 🙄
