Personally, I like making my own clothes and I’ve made outfits that I’ve gotten compliments on and have made me feel good in.

It's very hard to do. If you want a good stitch you need a good sewing machine and not going to lie getting everything right cost some serious time to learn it.
I can make a few small things with polyester thread since i just can't get cotton to not snap. But even after time, you really need to do a course to learn it.
I could make something simples as a shirt but those just aren't that expensive anyway.
Oh and if you wonder why I own a sewing machine, it's because todays clothes are made of the worst quality and now I can fix them sometimes.
I sew and make my own clothes and it’s not a burden whatsoever, it’s fun and involves lots of creativity and talent. When I wore the New Years outfit I made at a party, people were asking where I got it. People act like it’s an annoying labor.
Because it requires an interest in sewing and tailoring to do it, which most people don't have. Additionally, in an age where most people don't even take the time to cook their own meals, and people's attention span is about as long as the next swipe of a finger on their phone, we live in an instant gratification society where "time is of the essence" and convenience is king. It's no wonder why today's people consider it a hassle, let alone it being something they've even thought about doing.
Like many skills, sewing, tailoring, quilt making, rug making, tapestry, etc. is a lost art. Respect to you for taking an interest and keeping that skill alive. 👍 As someone who is moving more and more toward the old ways of living and doing things, my hat's off to you.
Three piece suits with double stitching tailoring on the pants takes some effort
I don’t make suits, but I don’t know why people act like it’s such labor and a burden. Like I can make you an outfit if you wanted 😭
