no there's a lot of times where I'm dirty my clothes are dirty because I'm at work I look like a big mess ball

and it doesn't even matter to me if I feel good on the inside that's what it's all about

now since I do go to work everyday and I come home dirty everyday
of course I'm going to want to jump in the shower to get clean to feel better yes

and since I don't go out much anymore it is really really nice to put on clothes that I haven't worn in a long time and left my best I do feel good in that moment because I'm not going to go to work LOL I'm going to go do something fun and I like that I know the answer is no

I'm the only one that can make myself feel anything so it doesn't matter how I'm dressed or anything like that I'm going to be happy no matter what and I hope I project that on to other people

I think I started to feel my best when I no longer felt the need to always look my very best.

Also even started to attract more women for some reason, showing up in shorts and t-shirts in a bar full of men in suits. Maybe just becoming very comfortable in my own skin appealed to women more than looking my absolute best.

I still do generally feel a bit better if I stay in decent physical shape, dress reasonably well, but I think it's liberating when you no longer feel like you have to look your best to feel your best. It's especially important not to tie our self-esteem to how we look so much as we grow older since gray hairs are going to kick in along with wrinkles; I'm no longer in my prime anymore as I was in my 30s (I kind of reached my physical prime at that point as a late bloomer).

I feel my best after trekking for 4-5 hours in the backcountry of Texas on horseback helping my uncle & cousins drive their 1,500 head of cattle from the winter fields to the spring side and doing it again about 6 months later on what's about 800 acres of land.

I look my best dressed in an ankle length skirt, older styled but still fashionable blouse that doesn't show anything more than bare minimal skin, hair down in a messy ponytail & wearing cowboy boots not stupid ass heels.

If someone asked me to emulate and look like some women - or even more effeminate men - of today's era... I'd much rather jump off the cliff without a parachute.

I mean... I'm not really sure when it was that I was feeling my best. It could be early childhood (and I wasn't exactly good-looking at that time) or even some time before being born. As of recently, I feel the best when I'm walking around the city (more or less aimlessly). It's the dopamine shot I get from walking that makes me feel good. Contrary... I might feel somewhat good when looking in the mirror after some workout, but I'm always aware that it's still not enough for me to be considered attractive - it's not like I can grow some 10 centimeters or more, can I? So... No, my looks are always bringing my mood down if I as much as think about them, I'm never enough in this regard.
