I mean... that would be kind of weird, but maybe. I normally exfoliate in the shower in the beard area because I get a lot of dry/dead skin there, but otherwise it's just soap and water and that seems to work just fine.

That said, I've entertained many things for my girlfriends over the years, so I'd probably let her do this once or twice if she really wanted to. I had a girlfriend who used to love watching me shave my face - as in, "don't shave yet - I want to watch!" For whatever reason, she just found that super attractive and masculine. I didn't REALLY understand it, but it was no big deal to let her watch me shave. She REALLY got excited when I got a straight razor and shaved with that - you'd have thought I bought her a diamond ring and a Mercedes.
