When I tell you I was SHOCKED.

Apparently you can get an eye colour transplant 😭 that’s taking things to a whole other level.

Did you know about this? Would you ever do it?

I wouldn’t but I’m scared of surgery PERIOD (even though I’ve had it before lol)

That is one of the stupidest unnecessary surgeries I can imagine.

HOWEVER, I can imagine that there are people with heterochromia iridum, like MLB Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Max Sherzer (formerly of the NY Mets), who desire to eye identical eye colors.

Yes. I found out because of this model who faked having heterochromia and would just wear a contact in one eye. (Her own father called her out on IG posting a picture of her as a kid)

Apparently she ended up getting the surgery to change the colour of one of her eyes.

I love my eye colour and have been complimented on my eyes throughout my entire life. I would never want to change them. But even if I didn't have these eyes, I wouldn't ever want to change them, because unless it's it's being disfigured, I am against surgery to change physical features for the most part.

At this point, there will come a day soon where we all just choose all of our physical traits and all look similar because we all have a similar sense of what attractive looks like. Everything will be fake.

No thanks. My eyes are hazel and I know there are people who prefer blue eyes but this procedure is not safe. I would rather be with someone who likes my natural eye colour. I know many examples of blue-eyed men with women who don’t have blue eyes like Ian Somerhalder, Brant Daugherty etc. My current boyfriend has blue eyes too.

I've heard you can easily turn blue/grey eyes brown by introducing oxygen there. Not the other way around though. Seems silly to risk your eyesight for something like that if there are contact lenses.

Yes, but It is extremely dangerous and risky. It can make you go permanently blind. I know this Swedish model who travelled to India to change her eye color to blue. Worked for her but not sure what’s the update now.

Surgery to correct glaucoma involves replacing part of the eye, and a person can often pick what color they would like.

That's usually only done for older people. I don't know why anyone would do that just to get a different eye color.

It's easier to just wear colored contacts.
