Why are people so nosey?

For example, I bought a large plant off a Facebook marketplace seller and I had to open the boot of my car… he then stares at the things that are in my car and starts asking questions and acting weird. I had a pair of heels on show and some normal clothes… not lingerie… but he got embarrassed by the sight of red heels… I think it’s none of his business and he shouldn’t be being nosey about what I have in my car… seems quite often that people do this sort of thing.

Not sure, but just look at how much of government action is really others minding your business. That is fine if you are assaulting another person or that person's property, but that is a small percentage of what government does.
