What's the flick at the end of the eye thing?

Women I don't understand that flick tick at the end of your eye when doing your makeup. What's it supposed to be?

I get that it's some kind of makeup style, just curious why you put it there.

I not a fan of makeup on women in general but I understand it but don't understand this

My nan used to do it. And in my teens/20's I got compliments from other women when I did it. I did wonder if it's outdated. But nope. It's still popular so I still do it. For me it also underscores where my eyeshadow begins. But I don't do liner above my eyes. I do under and into the wing flick. It also I think mimics the upward crease of happy eyes/laughter eyes so looks like your a positive person.
