Green eyes are very popular just rather rare. My friends eyes are Hazel but depending on the color clothes she wears and the lighting her eyes change as most Hazel eyes do to either brown or green.

I doubt if they are less popular. Green eyes are the rarest. And they are striking.
They look absolutely amazing on ginger haired girls. Ginger being the rarest of hair colors. A girl with pale skin and that orange and green combo is dazzling.

Besides, who cares that much about eye color when everything else is considered.

Green eyes aren't really green. My eyes are blue but my iris has few yellow spots only visible when it's closed, that's why my eyes look in bright sunlight slightly turquoise instead of dark blue. I guess with more yellow incursions it would be more green, but green eyes are blue eyes with a shot of yellow from brown eyes. Blue and a little bit yellow makes green. Yellow incursions in iris aren't rare but proper mix is.

I guess they might be less popular than blue eyes in western countries since green eyes are still more common than blue eyes here (though blue isn't uncommon at all). I like brown, green, and gray eyes more than blue

Well... I do know that a lot of actors in Hollywood have green eyes. Blue eyes are quite striking as well.
