This is somewhat hard to explain, and I've never really heard anyone else bring it up but me, but basically when two people are in a photo together and one person is very attractive and the other person is less attractive (not necessarily ugly, just less attractive than the other person) it makes the attractive person look even hotter. Like even hotter than if the photo was just the attractive person all by themselves.
I don't exactly know why this happens to me... maybe it's because of the contrast of the two people? Seeing someone less attractive next to the person helps highlight how attractive the other person really is.
Also, it doesn't make the less attractive person look uglier or anything, just the attractive person look even hotter.
For the record, I don't use this to measure people's worth as human beings, just purely their physical attraction, in my opinion of course.
Like for example, my girlfriend is extremely hot and most of her friends are less hot than her. So seeing a photo of my girlfriend and another female friend of hers together it really helps highlight how hot my girlfriend is and all her features.
But yeah... this is probably kind of silly, but I was wondering if anyone else feels the same way.
TL;DR The title, really. I think it's mainly the contrast between the two people, as in the less attractive person helps emphasize how attractive the other person really is.
