In order to do that, they must survive and find someone that they can control or at least feel secure. Thus... security is #1. There is more security in a group... thus the idea of "social proof". If a guy has garnered the attention of other men or women, then more women will feel comfortable. It's herd mentality. Projecting confidence and being able to communicate and maintain good vibes with others, makes all the difference in the world.

why I don't do that? I did when I was shy. Hormones and life drives one out of their shell to connect w others. I had to figure it out.
You go do some work and figure it out. I've answered this many times before... long ago. Easiest solution, get into community with others in real life, start asking questions to undrestand other people. Be positive, be interested and inquisitive, adventursome, be light hearted and fun.
Soon, you'll find yourself in a heap of new challenges to figure out.
