How old were you when you first started wearing glasses?

Did you get teased for it at all? How did you handle it? Asking for my son, not me obviously.

Nobody teases you for wearing glasses in North America because it’s extremely common to wear them and it is considered a form of discrimination to mock people for wearing it, similar to discrimination on the basis of race or persecution on the basis of disability. Its not socially acceptable to mock people for it.

Good to hear. I had to fight a few times in elementary school over it, but this was the 90s and in an inner-city school. I was hoping to hear the culture is different now.

That, and we live in a decent suburb area, so an entirely different crowd in the schools anyway.
