Think about it. Compare the beauty of your conventional boy/man and your conventional girl/woman. The Mr average I post below is more on the "not that ugly" side if I say so generously:

Now. The girls & women can take this to another level with their beautifications and look like this. Men and boys can not. This super pretty one resembles in some ways the pink haired cat girl.

Boys & Men have very limited choices to be eye candy. They can either go for a look for someone like the Serious Sam guy or they can turn into transgirls and follow the beauty ways of girls & women.

And we've not yet covered the ugliness of the average boys/men such as geeky dorks, nerds, who look like moles with their glasses and those, that can't make use of most of the beautification things of girls without looking like an obvious man trying to imitate as a woman.

Imagine a world where 100% of men looked like trolls from a cartoon. We would still see the exact same percentage of men with hot women, men with average women, men with fugly women. And some women would be claiming that some trolls look better than the rest. So eh. Why waste energy on it.

You're not wrong. @OlderAndWiser mentioned this too multiple times how he see's boyfriends and girlfriends at the malls usually with cute girls and deformed looking boys and we can too.

For whatever it's worth: I could get girls easily my entire life but I passed up on almost all of them because I was always looking for one that seemed to be into me and not just because she looked good. Then I gave up and didn't even look and just accidentally found a great woman. Although along the way I also realized, they aren't really into you anyhow. More like how you make them feel & if you happen to figure out how to balance that and also be who you really are, that's great. But the worse thing is to be with a woman who is wrong for you. And she could be wrong just because you haven't figured out who you are yet. Weird, but that's my experience.

I see. There is wisdom in your saying. It is "funny" how I see girls going for the fake images the poser boys put up and then end up being disappointed. At the same time the boys being themselves are too uninteresting on the surface. So I interpret it from my side.

It seems that women are more attractive than men because they spend a lot of money on makeup and surgery, since a woman's value lies solely in her beauty and youth, but in reality women without makeup are quite ugly.

Majority of people are average, it may seem there are more pretty woman than men but that is because the majority of girls cake themselves in makeup to look pretty. Men just have beards and haircuts they can do to look good.

I wish we had more options and "cake ourselves up" too somehow in order to be eye candy.
In my earlier bitter years I believed money is our make up. Sike! Fat bald and pimpled rich men are still fugly. I even read somewhere in another Q&A site about a gold digger girl posting a question if there is a lifehack to more effectively ignore her sugar daddy's extreme ugliness and other girls responded with things like "what the hell are you doing with someone like that?" and "i would never" and "how much must you hate yourself to put yourself in that situation?".

Sorry, but it's a bit hard to not psychoanalyse this. From what I can gather, it seems like you have a wider aversion to masculinity in general, or perhaps even claiming your own?

The reasons for that might require a lot of genuine self reflection.

Now are men ugly? Well, I suppose in general, people are ugly. For sure, women have the charms of youth thing going on. I mean, if you go to university, a good proportion are very attractive. But a good proportion are also, not that attractive. Looks fade and slip away. I work in an organisation with 550 people. There are genuinely only 2 women that are decently physically attractive in my humble opinion. One is a girl who is 22 and looks sensational. A real stunner. The other is in her 20s, also. Outside of that, people seem to let themselves go, have bad habits, or just be kind of average.
