Why is it so dry?

I’ve shaved my beard yesterday and since then I’ve noticed that my skin on this area has became really dry, why?

A beard gives a surprising amount of protection and warmth to the face. Suddenly your skin doesn't have that protection. Like any other dry skin, you need to use moisturizer and not wash it too often. Research moisturizers. The best is plain old Vaseline, but a lot of people don't like the greasiness.

Some moisturizers actually have water in them to ad moisture to the skin. But mostly they lock in your natural moisture, so you don't need the added water.

Make sure you are hydrated - drink plenty of water.

If you live in a cold climate, the furnace dries the air in the winter, like a lot. Dry skin always gets much worse in the winter. Try using a vaporizer to raise the humidity.
